Terms of service
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Armour View, trading as ARMOUR VIEW ("we", "us", "our").
Physical address: 12 Ironridge Lane, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Email: Callan@armourview.com
2. Agreement to these terms
By browsing this website, placing an order or making a payment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Returns and Refunds Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site at the time you place an order applies to that order.
3. Products
We sell Armour View protective eyewear. Our frames are certified to ANSI Z87.1 and EN ISO 16321-1 and fitted with UV400 polarised lenses.
Product images are for illustration. Colours may vary slightly between screens and the physical product.
Our eyewear is designed to reduce the risk of eye injury. It does not eliminate it. Always use eyewear appropriate to the hazard, and follow any site or activity safety requirements that apply to you.
4. Pricing and payment
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay.
We accept payment through Payfast (Visa, Mastercard, Instant EFT and other methods offered by Payfast) and PayPal. Payments are processed by these providers under their own terms. We do not store your card details.
We may correct pricing errors on the site at any time. If a product was listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel the order for a full refund.
5. Orders
An order is placed when you complete checkout and payment is confirmed. We will send an order confirmation by email. Our acceptance of your order happens when we dispatch the goods.
We may decline or cancel an order if the product is unavailable, if payment cannot be verified, if we suspect fraud, or if there is an error in the listing. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
6. Pre-orders
Some products are sold on pre-order. A pre-order is a firm order for stock that has not yet arrived.
- The expected dispatch window is shown on the product page and in your order confirmation.
- Payment is taken in full at the time of the pre-order.
- If the expected dispatch date moves by more than 14 days, we will notify you by email and you may cancel for a full refund.
- You may cancel a pre-order at any time before dispatch for a full refund by emailing us with your order number.
7. Delivery
We deliver within South Africa and to selected international destinations. Delivery options, costs and estimated times are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph it before opening and contact us within 48 hours.
8. Cooling-off period and returns
Under section 44 of ECTA you may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods, and they must be unused, in original condition and in their original packaging. We will refund the purchase price within 30 days of receiving the return.
Full details, including how to start a return, are in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
9. Defective goods
Under the CPA, if a product is defective or not fit for purpose within 6 months of delivery, you may return it for a repair, replacement or refund at your choice. Contact us with your order number, a description of the fault and photographs.
Normal wear, scratched lenses from use, damage caused by misuse, accident or alteration, and damage from impacts beyond the rated standard are not defects.
10. Refunds
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method through Payfast or PayPal. Allow 5 to 10 working days for the refund to reflect after we confirm it.
11. Your account and conduct
You must be 18 or older to place an order. You agree to give accurate delivery and contact details. You may not use this site for any unlawful purpose or attempt to interfere with its operation.
12. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including the Armour View name, shield logo, product designs, photography and copy, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without written permission.
13. Privacy
We collect and process personal information in line with POPIA. How we do that is set out in our Privacy Policy. Payment information is handled by Payfast and PayPal under their own privacy terms.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or our products. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the CPA or other law that cannot be excluded.
15. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. You may also refer a complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (www.cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission.
